Three Palestinians Aged 12-14 Said Killed in Israeli Strike on Southern Gaza
The Israeli military said Sunday that it struck three Palestinians who were attempting to place an explosive device near the border fence in the southern Gaza Strip. Three Palestinians boys between the ages of 12 and 14 were killed in the strike, Gaza’s Health Ministry said.
Earlier, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that three bodies were found east of Khan Younis. Israel had denied the bodies were located on its side of the border.
In response, the Palestine Liberation Organization described the killing as "a clear war crime in violation of international law" and called on the ICC to move forward with an investigation.
The PLO identified the three as Khaled Bassam Mahmoud Abu Saeed, Abdul Hameed Mohammed Abdul Aziz Abu Zaher and Mohammed Ibrahim Abdullah al-Sutari, all aged 13.
On Friday and Saturday, Israel struck close to 100 Hamas and Islamic Jihad targets in Gaza as 39 rockets from Gaza were launched at Israel. The Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted 15. No casualties were reported.
