Israel Strikes Hamas Targets After Gaza Rocket Fire for Second Time in 24 Hours

Israel struck the Gaza Strip on Thursday, hours after a rocket was launched from the Strip at Israel, the army said in a statement, marking the second such incident in less than 24 hours.

Israeli aircraft attacked what the army said were underground Hamas facilities and a naval target in southern Gaza, and a military compound in the northern Strip.

Earlier on Thursday, the Israeli military struck Hamas targets after a rocket that was fired overnight was intercepted by Israel's Iron Dome aerial defense system.
