Far-right, Pro-pot Feiglin on Failure to Enter Knesset: There Will Be ‘Another Election’ Soon

Far-right Zehut Chairman Moshe Feiglin, dubbed potential kingmaker in Israel’s election, said Tuesday he still believes he would make it into parliament, despite exit polls suggesting his party didn’t pass the 3.25-percent electoral threshold.

"I believe we’re in, and Zehut will be in the next Knesset," he said in a video message.

"Even if we don’t make it, it won’t take long until there will be another election, and we will be there," Feiglin, running for the first time as party leader, said. "We’re running long distances. This is the end of a beginning, not the beginning of the end."

Feiglin, who was hoping to attract voters with his pro-marijuana, libertarian – but also Jewish supremacist – platform, added: "There’s still a chance we’ll make it into Knesset and get six, seven and even eight seats. … Everyone united against us because they were scared by Zehut’s message."

In recent public opinion polls published over the past week, Zehut was predicted anywhere between five and seven Knesset seats. Asked earlier on Tuesday about the number of seats he’d be satisfied with, Feiglin said "whatever God wants, that’s what will be."

Feiglin voted earlier on Tuesday near his home in the West Bank settlement of Karnei Shomron, and spent the rest of the day campaigning in Tel Aviv.
