The head of the military's intelligence directorate has given certificates of appreciation to units that participated in a recent successful covert operation, the army said Wednesday. This comes a month after a cyberattack on Iran's Shahid Rajaee port.
Among the units given the honor by Maj. Gen. Tamir Hayman, director of Military Intelligence, was the elite, high-tech Unit 8200.
The attack on the Iranian port in late May caused massive backups on waterways and roads leading to the port, and Israel appeared to be behind it, The Washington Post reported at the time.
